There’s something timeless about wandering through a garden with the one you love—especially when that garden feels straight out of a Shakespearean daydream. For Kourtney & Edson, Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, Texas, offered the perfect mix of romantic architecture, lush pathways, and quiet corners that feel like a secret garden.
We met on a crisp Sunday morning in November one of those overcast Texas fall days that makes you want to slow down and soak everything in. Kourtney brought two stunning looks: a matching top and long skirt with delicate, colorful florals that popped against the greenery, and a shorter white dress that gave a playful, effortlessly elegant vibe. Together, the outfits told a story; one of softness, charm, and a little whimsy.
The two of them were nonstop grins, all warmth and laughter and ease. Photographing them felt like following two people who were simply at home in each other’s presence.
As a DFW wedding photographer, I’m always looking for locations that offer more than just pretty backdrops. Chandor Gardens is full of character; from its vine-covered stone walls to the ornate iron gates and curved garden paths. It’s romantic without trying too hard, and perfect for couples who want something that feels classic yet intimate.
If you’re planning your own engagement session here, I highly recommend booking a morning session right when the gardens open. The light is dreamy, and you’ll have a bit more quiet to explore all the hidden gems without a crowd. Make a full lap around, you’ll find so many tucked-away spots that feel like they were made for storytelling.
Whether you’re based in Dallas, Fort Worth, or just looking for the perfect garden engagement session location in Texas, Chandor Gardens is an absolute gem—and I’d love to capture your story there.
