Nestled in the heart of Highland, IL, The Olde Wicks Factory served as the perfect backdrop for Kerianna & Zane’s wedding day. With its industrial charm, soaring ceilings, and historic character, this unique wedding venue set the stage for a celebration filled with love, warmth, and timeless romance.
Before the ceremony, Kerianna & Zane shared a quiet, intimate moment with a first touch—a special alternative to a first look that allowed them to connect without seeing each other. Holding hands around a corner, they exchanged sweet words, calming their nerves before walking down the aisle. This heartfelt moment set the tone for a day overflowing with emotion and love.
With warm temperatures outside, the couple opted for an indoor ceremony inside The Olde Wicks Factory’s stunning space. Surrounded by exposed brick walls, rustic beams, and the soft glow of candlelight, their vows felt even more intimate and personal. The venue’s industrial elegance paired beautifully with their romantic wedding décor, which featured an abundance of candles, soft florals, and thoughtfully curated details by Yellow House Designs aka the talented Erin Sweetman.
The transformation of The Olde Wicks Factory for the reception was breathtaking. With candlelit tablescapes, elegant florals, and the venue’s historic charm, the space exuded warmth and sophistication. Guests dined and danced beneath the venue’s high ceilings, enjoying the perfect mix of modern romance and industrial elegance.
The night was filled with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and a packed dance floor. As a wedding photographer, moments like these—where pure joy radiates from every guest—are what I love capturing most.
