Your wedding day is such an important moment in your life. I just wanted to share some wedding day photo tips from a wedding photographer (hehe that’s me) for you to have to help your day go smoothly.
1. Build Breathing Room into Your Timeline Your wedding day should feel effortless—not a race against the clock. That’s why I offer full-day coverage (up to 10 hours), so we have a structured timeline that flows naturally, not one that feels rigid. This way, you get to enjoy each moment without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
2. Time Your Ceremony Around the Sunset I recommend scheduling your ceremony at least two hours before sunset. This lets us capture family photos, couple portraits, and all those special moments before the sun dips, so we’re making the most of that soft, beautiful light.
3. Gather Your Wedding Details in One Spot A pro tip? Collect all your meaningful details—rings, invitations, jewelry, perfume—in one box. It can be anything from a sturdy shoe box to an old Amazon box, as long as it keeps everything together. This makes it a breeze for us to dive straight into those gorgeous detail shots and flat lays that tell the story of your day from the smallest details to the biggest moments.
4. Embrace the Moment The best photos come when you’re just being yourselves, soaking up the day, and having a blast. That’s the magic you’ll feel every time you look back on these photos. So, take a deep breath and let it all sink in—you’re making memories that will mean the world.
5. Savor Your Couple’s Portraits as a Private Moment Your portraits are more than just photos—they’re a moment to step away and take it all in together. The day can fly by, so I make sure couples’ portraits feel relaxed and celebratory. This is your chance to press pause, enjoy each other, and capture the essence of your day without any stress. When you book with me, this time is all about celebration and creating memories you’ll cherish.
Your wedding day is going to be perfect and I cannot emphasize enough the importance of just enjoying your day and the people who love you and are celebrating you!
